the ability to bullshit is an important life skill and I’m still convinced that’s all I really learned in high school
everyone wants to live a long life, but no one wants to grow old. they say you only live once, to live life to the fullest, to make the most of it, to take it all in stride, and you do. you try to do just that. but there comes a time when you have to start taking responsibilities and then there’s the pressures to settle down and start a family, get a job etc.
and it’s said that high school is the best years of your life, and ill admit i’m really enjoying high school. so far, these are the best years of my life. i don’t have real responsibilities. i don’t have to worry about money, about keeping a job, about paying the rent, none of that.
but when you get older, you do have to worry about those things. you have to worry about your health too. especially when you get really old. you lose the ability to take care of yourself, to travel, to do what you once could. and i’m terrified of that. i’m having all these revelations as i’m watching the lucky one, tarzan, bring it on, and supernatural. wtf.
that’s why i want to do everything i can as soon as i can. maybe that’s why people, teenagers especially, are so quick to grow up. with fake id’s, sex, drugs, alcohol, all they want, all we want, is to be treated as adults but not have any responsibilities.
i don’t even know where i’m going with this, but yeah. there’s that eloquently worded piece of my mind.
i don’t know it’s just strange.
